Regular Membership: Any Attorney-Advisor currently employed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Regulations and Rulings is eligible for Regular Membership in the CLA. Only Regular Members shall have voting rights in the CLA.
Associate Membership: Any person otherwise employed by the United States Government as an attorney is eligible for Associate Membership in the CLA. Associate Members shall not have voting rights in the CLA, but shall have the right to present their views on CLA matters.
Amicus Membership: Any attorney in private practice who has graduated from law school, and is admitted to practice before a court of record in a state, territory or possession of the United States is eligible for Amicus Membership in the CLA. Amicus Members shall not have voting rights in the CLA, but shall have the right to present their views on CLA matters.
Law Librarian/Law Student Membership: Any law librarian employed by the U.S. government or student enrolled at a school of law in a state, territory or possession of the United States is eligible for Student Membership in the CLA. Such members shall not have voting rights in the CLA, but shall have the right to present their views on CLA matters.
